Henry christopher although he grew up In haiti; he was born In the island of Grenada. According to historian Christopher was very rebellious at a young so he was traded to Haiti for more severe and brutal treatments. As he arrived In Haiti he became a changed and well liked boy by his master. He later on became a freeman.

I don't believe that the Glover film is making headway and, from all info available, is now dead. However, you can check out another production company, Pictures for Eula Mae with the Executive Derick Alexander. If you have an IMDbPro.com account, you can contact him through his agent. He is at work on a full-length feature of Toussaint after completing a beautiful and well=done short film that was screened on Nov. 1 at the MUZEO museum in Anaheim for their Treasures of Napoleon exhibit (which is a remarkably well done exhibit). Here is a link to a clip of that short film -- Toussaint's last moments in prison from Mr. Alexander's "The Last Days of Toussaint L'Ouverture" at http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2468184/ As I said, this short film is the basis for a new feature (not with Danny Glover) that is in development.
